No screenies this time…

Ya, I kinda don’t have any screenshots of photos this time around D: but perservere and read if you want to! I won’t make it too long.

Lessee, since my last blog, I’ve been kicked from my sky ls, which to be completely honest, I’m not so hung up about. I guess I kinda wanted a reason not to play, seeing how highly and dramatically my life changed for the better the last time I stopped playing. Low and behold, it’s happening again XD . I suddenly find myself more content with things.

Steering away from that, onto my favourite subject: Archery! Within the next few weeks, I should be doing a few shoots to get a grade. Grading being what class of archer you are based on your score over a few different distances. I’m going to go for 2nd class, which is a bit of a stretch, but not impossible. I will be the talk of the club if I get that XD (Not that I’m not the talk of the club already  >_> ).

Also, I wil be loooking into a new PC within the week, and it’s a hefty one at that! Costing around £2800 in total. However, it will have a GeForce 8800 GTX 700+MB DX10 card, professionally overclocked, alongside a 3600+ Quad core processor; with more RAM than a mexican farmer. It will take about 6 weeks to be made and shipped to me. It makes a change though, from having to make one myself. It does have one hell of a sexi spec. I’m rather looking forward to it! Especially since the exchange rate GBP > USD is very much in my favour. More computer for my money!

Other news: I won a few hundred £ on the lottery a couple of weeks back, which was nice.

A belated Happy Birthday to: Alice (As always, had a great time visitting, glad you liked your present!). Chris (Happy 22nd! Most exspensive night out in a while!). Ellisa (Happy 26th! Enjoy your errr… presentwhichIwontSayWhatItIsHere), and Mattheus (Happy 21st! Your present’s in the post, see you next week XD).

Sooo yeah, wth all the presents, going out, clubbing and travelling I’ve done this month, that lottery money has proven to be very useful!

An Introduction to my people!

Yet another look into the real life of Raeyne! I thought I would share with you some photos from this weekend of a few of the guys and girls and spend my time with. If I died, went to heaven, got to chose who my friends were and who I could always be with, I couldn’t make any better choice than these guys!

To the left is Andrew, and to the right is his friend from work… called ummm… something. I call him Simon.

Let’s get some ladies in, shall we? Introducing Jenna(Right) and Christina (Left). Jenna being incredibly smart/beautiful/charismatic and generally everyone gets jealous of her. Christina I don’t know so well, but she seems to be in the same boat as Jenna XD

And here, Andrew and Sam. Andrew being my longest surviving friend and greatest DM ever! Sam we all met through Andrew, and is completely insane. No, really, he is. You have to be around him to realise the levels we’re talking about here >_>. Andrew and Sam together = a fun and completely random night! Both really nice guys. I also hope to steal Sam’s copy of Kingdom Hearts.

I think that’ll do for now! As I get more pics of more people, I’ll post them!

Moving on! Final fantasy wise, I’ve played alot this week, so Im going to tone down the next couple of weeks, as long as there is important things to do :3 . I got my ranger to level 63 and have become a complete hate whore with my enmity merits and archery merits… However, I’ve been taking off about 40-45% of a mobs HP per fight out of 3 DD in total, so I must be doing something right XD. Especially concidering how much I’m having to hold back! Really enjoying this though XD Can’t wait to rangerify in sky!

Colibri’s dislike Sidewinder >:-) . Was hitting at a constant 1100+.

In Archery, I had a 3 dozen shot round against a First Class Bowman level archer, which was interesting. However, I managed to stay within 25 points of her score by the very end, out of a max of 330, so I’m getting there! I really should get some official scores recorded and go for a class. I recon I could make it to 2nd class ^^ .

Ups ‘n’ downs.

Well, I can’t get to sleep, so I figured I would update this!

First things first! Had a decent weekend! On saterday I did a pretty decent archery shoot, whilst hung over, which was fun. Also met a couple of new people who were shooting with us for the day, they shoot for another club, usually, but needed to get scored, so they were with us. Really nice people!

Sunday was awesome! I went down to Poole to see Aeyze and really had a great time! Dispite the rain. We got completely shown up on DDR by her friend. I managed to somehow spend way too much money… I just wish I knew what I spent it on. Aeyze is an absolutely wonderful person . Here’s a photo. I look horrid ><

The train back was really very bad though D: Got me home 3 hours late!

Final Fantasy wise, I capped my pld exp and got new hand thingers! Not to mension finding my namesake Rayne!

In other news, I got some news today which was quite a nasty shock to the system, so I haven’t been too well since then. Nothing I won’t get over, just a shock is all. I won’t post it for everyone to see, sorry. Oh well, I’ll be fine, always fine! What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

Last but not least! To finish on a good note, I have taken a step into finding KH1! For those of you that don’t know, this is an incredibly hard game to find at the moment. It has been out of production for the passed couple of years, so it’s only available second hand. However, I worked my magic up in Kingston Upon Thames today and managed to get the store manager of Computer Exchange to have a copy sent to him from another store up in the north. If it goes well, I should have the copy on wednesday! I won’t get my hopes up too high, though, it was a pretty fragile deal.  Fingers crossed!

Work… Ahhhhrrrg T.T;

Ok, so work is suck right now. Not just a little suck, but –the- suck. I haven’t yet had a break; it’s coming up to 2:30pm, and I started today at 7:15am. I still haven’t got around to the inch and a half thick pile of paperwork on my desk that seems to be staring at me and plaguing me throughout the day!

What’s worse is that there is no management figure here at all. I was told I would have someone here for half the day, to help get the restaurant going while I did my work, which I have gotten far behind enough on trying to work with the uselessness that was the supplement manager for the previous 9 working days. So I’ve been left:
- Get the restaurant sorted and –everything- they wanted ordered. Do you know how long that takes? Just the ordering??
- Get the staff shop going and the cash sorted. Just as bad.
- To get all invoices put onto the system (Half the cause of my forever growing pile of paperwork.
- Make sure everyone is getting the correct wage for the week.
- Writing up the control and performance documents into excel.
- Writing up the daily and weekly control and performance documents into excel.
- Cashing up and the Daily Cash Breakdown. For both staff restaurant and staff shop.
- Write up and print out the menus for the tables in the staff restaurant.

Ooooomg.I have a *splitting* headache, I’m typing partly with my eyes closed, partly with them only half open. I really hope people leave me alone this afternoon as I really am getting to the end of what I can take in stress >.< .

Heads up! Nearly the weekend! Only 2 hours to go (I wish) before I go home (I hope), although the amount of overtime that needs to be done might just have to be put off until Monday. I really need out of here.

Hope all your Fridays are better! I’m definitely looking forward to what’s in store this weekend. That’s probably the only thing keeping me sane (Sane used in the loosest way possible here >_>).

(Archery) (Master) (Do You Need It?)

I had a great day today! This morning, as planned, I went to the archery range with my friend, trying out our new bows. That was only the beginning of it. From the word go, everything went right. I seem to have developed a 6th sense for sighting… The sight was just always in the right place! And my shooting was impecable.

First though, I’ll introduce you to me, what I look like, my bows, and what they look like.

And here, is my traditional English lonbow, Sulevae. Was just messing about trying to hit the 100 yard target with this, which was great fun after my complete ownage of everyone who was using a recurve this morning. Again, click for the full image XD

And lastly, a random target photo. My arrows are the dark shafted ones with the deep orange and black fletchings, and Irn Bru coloured knocks (They’re the back of the arrow, that you feed onto the bow string.) And… Oh! Look where they all are! Click… Full image… you know the proceedure!

So, there’re the pictures, now onto the scores. Just for those of you who dont know, the scoring goes as follows: Gold=9, Red=7, Blue=5, Black=3, White=1. My scores were pretty constant, from best to worst:

That’s…. 252 out of a max of 270.

Sooo, then I got home, kicked Chris’ ass at Wipeout Fusion, and called Aeyze for a lovely conversation, as always.

Tomorrow is a clout archery tournament… And I’ve never done clouting before, so I’m just there for the fun. Clout is where you aim at targets placed flat on the ground from 180 yards away, sounds like a good laugh! Wish me luck!

So, I guess this is my first post on my new blog… Been a while since I this! I guess if you’re reading this you want to know about me.

First and foremost, I’m Guy, 20 year old from London, UK. I enjoy a wide variety of things. Sports wise I do badminton, tennis, hockey, archery, cyling. Archery being my main focus at the moment. Internet wise I’m a FFXI player, and a bit of a surfer, I do try to keep time spent on the internet down, though. Work wise, I am a supervisor  at Nestlé Purina HQ in New Malden. A job I kinda enjoy, but really should move on towards getting more of a career job sometime soon.

Right now, I just logged off of FFXI, after an afternoon of no achievements. First thing, I went cycling into Kingston (Next town, 15 minute cycle) to look for a copy of Kingdom Hearts 1… Which my good friend Aeyze has gotten me interested in through no more than mension it in pretty much every form of conversation. The trip went well, the buying didn’t. Not a single shop in the entire shopping center of Kingston Upon thames (I went to 6 shops, all of which sell new and pre-owned games) had a copy of the first one. Just 600 copies per shelf of number 2. I think it’s really bad marketting >_> those interested in it who would want to start at 1 due to the publicity this game got would have trouble doing so, and wouldn’t buy the 2nd!

Anyway, so I got home, had some food, decided swimming was too much effort, and logged onto FFXI where I forgot I had logged out the night before in sky! And I didn’t have any form of warp with me. So I figured that since it’s going to take me for ever and a day to get anywhere useful, I might as well search for Curtana, so I did. And I got it. And I noticed the location of the coffer for the map of sky. For which I have had the key over a year, so I ran all the way back, taking a good 25 mins, then back to sky with a key. I brought the wrong key. orz. So back I went, got the right key, and fingers crossed to get the chest before anyone else (A good 90 mins now since I first saw it) and to my amazement, there it was! Coffer, and I had the right key. I got the map. Hurrar.

The rest of the evening has been uneventful, just an exchange of words of love with Urumnaf over FFXI and the oh so exciting task of sitting in my moghouse whilest organising my downloads. Oh, and started watching Fate/Stay Night, again. For the third time. It’s the most amazing anime I have ever seen in my entire life.
